I have no doubt that he did exactly what my planning commissioner did and went out and talked to the community.

My understanding is that Mr. Barnes felt this was consistent with the general plan.
It's usually what he looks to.
Consistent with the purposes, one of which is county use for this parcel.
He will almost always take into serious consideration what the neighbors are thinking.
I think in this case, he felt that Mr. Brown and his team had bent over backwards to try to make improvements to the project to address the concerns of the neighborhood, including a six-foot berm along Natchez,
North of the southern entrance, et cetera.

So I would defer to Mr. Brown or to Mr. Hemstreet about the amount that was searched.
But I will note that this site, when it was rezoned, was approved for the public use there.
To allow this particular site to allow residential would require a ZCPA.
