And I think my titles are always very kind of surgical in what I'm trying to get to.
But yeah, but then there's also exactly that.
There's like this very basic address of addressing things that have never seen the light of day.
And it's funny, like when you ask to show things that have been in storage, suddenly conservators get really careful about them, you know.
Like when I borrowed the swords from the Pitt Rivers Museum, they were so responsive and super excited.
But at some point there was a concern that like the metal of the blade and the fabric, which is contemporary fabric, which has acid dye, the way they would interact might be damaging for the object.
I'm like, but no one's ever even seen these objects.
It's been in storage for a hundred.
Can we just show it for six weeks?
Yeah.
And everyone's actually been very supportive.
And I think a huge part of that is because there's beauty, you know, that the works are shown in a way that I think museums would like them to be shown, you know.
No, I think with that particular work, I became very specific with the kind of marble I used.
I mean, it wasn't from the Philippines, but I just kind of wanted something flesh-like, but not even the inside of the flesh-like, because I wanted people to understand them initially as marble slabs.
But then as you read the story, it kind of collapses into viscera, really.
And that was important, the point of transformation, where knowledge is transferred, the material changes into flesh, is what I'd hope people would take away from it.
No, I mean, I didn't, because initially when I was invited by Lena Frisch, who was the curator at the Ashmolean at the time, to do the project, the remit was just the Ashmolean Museum.
But I was able to kind of negotiate to actually look through the entirety of Oxford University's collection.
And actually, when I came across this etching through these kind of...
I mean, the research for these projects are initially really boring.
