I watch films less.

I think we all do at the moment.

But I still remember, you know, certain films and how they can kind of reach you in ways that art cannot.

You know, like I remember seeing Apocalypse Now for the first time and it was filmed in the Philippines famously.

Yeah.

Borrowing helicopters from the Marcos regime.

You know, there's this sort of super layered story.

I didn't realise that.

I knew it was Philippines, but hey.

And one of my godfathers insists he was an extra in the film.

We never saw him.

But I remember seeing that.

And there's a texture.

I remember you didn't really get a lot of really good foreign films in the Philippines.

I remember buying bootleg DVDs of Almodovar movies that you could watch.

But I think my artistic education was completed by cinema.

I watched recently...

I watched Secret Agent, which is a Brazilian movie.

And it's interesting because it brought me back to that sense of nervousness of having activists as parents.

Because it was in that, I think it was set in the late 70s.
