But it would be something I would... It's not something I would look forward to or plan or anything.

It was just something that happened.

And it was great when it was happening, but...

He did, yeah.

Des was doing the work experience.

I was doing stand-up for a long time.

And although I was feeling good at it, I was getting tired.

I wasn't making a life out of it.

And Des offered me a tour on his, or the support on his tour.

And when we were doing those long drives, like a lot of the time, as a stand-up, you're a van driver.

You just drive to a place, deliver your jokes instead of a package and get back in the van.

So he spent a lot of time on the road.

And Des started playing Damien Dempsey tunes to me.

I'd never heard Damien Dempsey before back then.

And he started playing this music.

And I remember thinking it was almost like a joke at the start.

The heaviness of the Dublin accent and the real unashamed throwing himself at it and rhyming the word feet with the word feet.

I just thought, he's almost like he's messing.

Then I got it.

It just fell into place and I absolutely loved it.
