support your friend it's not going to take away from your joy but then another one of my phrases I always say to myself is you can't pour from an empty cup or you can't burn a candle at both ends well that's what my mam used to say to me when I was doing the dog

So if I can pour from an empty cup, but I don't lose anything if I lay another... I suppose it's the same.

You can support your friend and it won't impact your life, but you can't support them if a cup is empty.

Yeah, so you need someone supporting you too.
