I finished high school at Kenmore High, immediately got into drama school back in Brisbane.
And at the end of that three years, I moved to Sydney.
I was 20.
I guess the reality of my job being an actor kind of smacked me in the face.
And it's very volatile.
It's up and down.
There's high, high peaks.
Yeah, I mean, I didn't.
That's the thing.
So I moved here.
I was very fortunate to not have to pay rent for the first two weeks in a mate's apartment in Town Hall in the middle of the city.
The day I got off the plane...
I got a job in an Italian restaurant.
You know, I think from uni all the way through to now, I can confidently say that everything that I have done in between acting jobs, it still fulfills me.
It's like I don't hate those days.
Yeah, it's all to support the one thing that I love the most and that I want to do forever and that I will do forever, and that's acting.
I think a lot of people in the arts carry that responsibility and work ethic.
It's very, very common, I would say.
I have to be realistic of, I guess, my workload.
You know, you'll have two-month periods where you're auditioning nonstop, so you kind of need to be plugging holes with work because you've got to go and put a lot of time into audition that you're not going to get paid for.
