I think if the first day of your liberatory war leads to 150, if not more, schoolchildren killed, that would by itself call into question how liberatory that war is meant to be.
It seems that every public statement that they issue with regards to any of this violent campaign only opens the aperture further for people in this country to be more and more skeptical of it.
I mean, to Netta's point,
When you say something that is so highly suspect and in that suspect, suspicious statement that we don't know anything about this or we're going to have to investigate it, you then say that that is the act of terrorists.
You allow people to see the American government in the worst possible light.
And so I think the officials in charge of the government and beyond just this administration, I think I've made that mistake over and over again where they first carry out
with our own plain eyes, what seems to be a very villainous, terrible act.
And especially as more and more reporting affirms that that was the case to then continue suggesting that that is not the act of us, but the act of the others.
You only diminish your credibility more, let alone around the world with your own people.
