I just want to acknowledge everything that our city steward Mary grizzle said echoing the sentiments Objective design standards was with the downtown at least we saw it here at the Commission the reference to the design standard almost as a playbook that guided
this future-level requirement.
Of course, the state asked us to also do it, so there's no doubt that we are driven on both sides.
I only want to ensure, like Commissioner Salem said, that we are flexible and we are not, again, gridlocked in a few years.
our city road widths, our automation of our city lights, our pedestrian walkability, our ability for special and inclusive needs to be accommodated in our design standards,
how our wayfinding is, how our signage is, how responsive we are for first responses, first responders, everything are help important when we take, because one of the key things we will lose with this design standards of our planning commission to give feedback on these large, massive housing projects.
So we can say good luck, continue to be our stewards, city staff, we look to you, thank you so much.
