But I I think there's one study from the uh a really good French cohort that had uh looks at 108,000 people, follows them for nearly eight years, called the Neutrinet Sante study.
that has got very detailed food records and they looked and saw the where there was a combination of these um various additives in food that caused problems.
And they were looking at
uh five sort of networks uh that they
they looked at and two of these five were associated with a higher rate of uh type two diabetes.
And they were classically this mixture of having
Uh emulsifiers, dyes, preservatives, gums, and acidifiers.
And there were these two these two clusters that that went with that.
So to Sarah's point, it could well be that there is a certain mix that just gives you the right ingredients that is going to cause problems.
And I think this is a fascinating but frightening prospect.
You know, how's the consumer going to work that
out it's impossible.

Yeah, I think so.
I think there's no doubt that manufacturers are trying to confuse us with more and more in ingredients of smaller amounts.
And like the artificial sweeteners, you rarely get one artificial sweetener now.
They're often in combinations, even with a tiny amount of sugar or giving it another name of sugar just to confuse you even more.
So as we see these these these combinations, the chances of them having an effect probably are probably greater.
uh and very hard to avoid for the consumer.
