It's absolutely just marketing.
Well, I think they're making a big mistake.
I was brought up on orange juice.
I gave it to my kids.
It was part of our family.
But orange juice is essentially full of sugar.
It's got some things that are better than a Coca-Cola.
It's got some vitamins and natural things.
It's got potassium.
But essentially, a lot of it is this sugar that is coming from the fruit.
And because you're not eating it as the whole orange, it's being released, as Sarah has said, much quicker than you would get
eating an orange and you're not getting that fiber to also dampen down that absorption.
So it's a really unnatural sugar rush you're getting from orange juice.
Delicious though it might be, it should be a rare treat, not a daily option.
I think there are some caveats there.
Some of these tropical fruits that we're getting are very high in sugar, you know, watermelon, papaya, and mangoes.
Modern grapes are bred to be really high in sugar.
When I was a kid, they were sour, you know, slightly sweet at most.
Now they're super sweet.
I think there is a range within the fruits.
