And that's amazing that they didn't get hurt.
So,
In a nutshell, it was what we call high-rit, high-intensity resistance and impact training.
It was a very simple program.
I don't
describe the actual exercises because I don't want people hurting themselves because this is a supervised program.
That is the caveat.
It needs to be supervised by someone who actually knows what they're doing.
So an exercise physiologist or a physiotherapist or somebody of similar training.
And we designed so that it would be quite brief because a lot of people who do have low bone mass are
they're still working.
So they're busy.
They often have kids.
They have parents they're looking after.
These are busy people.
So twice a week, 30 minutes.
The reason it ran for eight months, ordinarily a bone trial will run for 12 months, but this was run as a PhD project.
And the fellow who was running the trial, Steve Watson, needed to graduate in time.
And so we actually reduced the intervention to eight months because we thought that we would see a
a change in that time period.
