the ces but i didn't buy one what's the lamp do so nearables are the new wearables so these lamps coming out of japan actually measure your respiration rate your heart rate your heart rate variability and how much you move around and tell you how well you're sleeping but you don't have to wear anything it's just watching you using a radar or a lidar system
And you're comfortable with that, are you, next to you?
I would be very comfortable with that, but also particularly I would really like my mum to have one of those because one of the things we can see the use of these in an ageing population is if someone falls over, the lamp knows you've fallen over and can send an alarm.
And a watch does that too, doesn't it?
If the watch is properly set up and you've got an expensive enough watch, yes.
But you don't have to wear a watch when it's ambient.
You can just walk around and not worry about whether you've charged the device or you've got it on at all.
It's just everything's always watching you.
It has to be said, we're in a rental here.
So I have not built that bedroom or sleep pod the way I would like to have it done.
For example, I'd like triple glazed glass.
I'd like proper full blackout blinds.
My mattress is a good expensive mattress, but I would actually like a smart mattress, which cools and heats according to your body to keep you into sleep.
And also the brown noise, pink noise, white noise setup, I haven't got either, but I've got very young children.
So I'm kind of in a
just get everyone into bed and get to sleep type place.
So my wearables don't really exist either.
