You know, our story in terms of providing care for people with a gambling addiction has been a two decade story.

The first experience we had was people sports betting and the product proliferated out from sports betting to casino product fairly quickly.

And in recent years, the issue has been online slots embedded within the casino product that have led mainly young men who start with sports betting advancing onto these forms of highly addictive forms of gambling, some of which being dubbed the crack cocaine of gambling and causing significant difficulties for them, their families and presenting to us in treatment.

The development of polymarkets is a new phenomenon.

To me, it demonstrates the ongoing, incessant proliferation of the gambling product.

It's the financialization, another word that we're getting used to hearing, of everything in life.

So, will it rain and dingle next week?

You know...

more kind of horrific themes, you know, including military operations.

If a plane goes down in Iran or a helicopter or something, is somebody going to survive?

And really monetizing all kinds of aspects of life.

So people are not presenting to me and my team, you know, with primary issues around polymarket.

at the moment, but the progression that I've just outlined, I suspect that it will become embedded in the presentations and it will become part of the treatment plans in future.

No, to me, it's very clear that it reels in many, many more people that have zero interest in the sports product.

And there's a lot of those people.

I mean, there's a lot of people that are interested in arts and culture and current affairs.

So logic applies that if you extend the product to these individuals, you're pushing the gambling net out further and further all the time.
