I think so re-readable, great on the level of the sentence.

You can open any sentence and almost have it repay the attention.

And this is why I also just learned so much at these J Night events, because

there are people who take the time to know Austen on the level of the word, sentence, character, you know, plot, the whole thing, down from the little pieces to the big, and who can make you, even as careful a reader as you think you might be, see something that you hadn't noticed before that they did.

I certainly hope so, or we're in deep trouble.

I do still think there is a hunger for characters and stories.

And so storytelling through Jane Austen, repurposing her stories and characters, these are things that I have come to believe we should welcome, no matter where they take us, even if we don't like the directions they're taking us, as long as there is kind of a panoply of options.

I think the conversation continues and the opportunities to delve deeply into character story and I hope also words and text will continue.

Yeah, I think it's showing a sense that there is an important history and that feminism didn't start yesterday, that change is slow, but that there are these incredible moments of brilliance that have been able to endure and shine through despite the obstacles.

And, you know, maybe that sounds a little Pollyanna, but I do think that's part of it.
