And he goes, Dad, did you hear that he arrested Don Lemon?

And I was reading the story as he told me.

I'm like, yeah, kiddo, I heard.

And he goes, I'm scared they're going to do the same thing to you.

And it was a really important father-son moment for me to reaffirm to him that, look, our purpose, our responsibility here is uphold truth and justice no matter what.

And I said, I bet you, I'm like, I'm going to get a chance to talk to Don eventually.

But I bet you if I ask Don a thousand times, would he do it again?

He'll say yes a thousand times because he was standing up for justice.

He was doing what was right, what needed to be done.

And I think what you did is not only critical to convey the reality of what's happening on the ground, you exercise your First Amendment rights and you let the world know that this kind of fascism needs to be stopped now or it's going to advance.

I know for a fact, personally, even in my own family, of course, I just shared that story.

But the dozens of other people who have reached out and said that example, I'm not even, they're reaching out to me and saying that example made them feel more empowered to speak up.

So thank you for the work you're doing.

Last June, I'm sorry, last May, a chief judge in Florida saw my tweet criticizing the ruling that his court gave to detain the U.S.

citizen on an ICE detainer.

He didn't like my tweet and filed a 30-page bar complaint to get me disbarred, to have my law license stripped from me because of a tweet.
