go out and buy like 30 boxes of chocolate.
And then around this time, we would just go and hand them out to all of our neighbors.
We were the only Muslim family in the neighborhood.
And we would just go out around Christmas and New Year's and hand out boxes of chocolate just to kind of induce ourselves, say, hey, we exist, we're neighbors.
We just want to build a better relationship.
And like, even to this day, I'll go back to the same neighborhood and there'll be folks who will remember from 30 years ago, 35 years ago that we did that.
And so it has a lasting impact.
And to me, it's just the biggest takeaway for me of this holiday season is,
the world is on fire, a lot of stuff is going to hell, but, you know, looking out for your neighbors and just finding ways to build those bridges is such an important opportunity.
That's such a great excuse to do it.
It's honestly a shame if we don't.
So go do that.
That last one is choosing violence.
Yes, that last part got me.
This is the point I always like to make, Don, because when we talk about, when we hear MAGAS talk about, well, we were founded as a Christian nation.
My question is always what part of that was Christian?
Was it the genocide of indigenous people?
Was that the Christian part?
Was it the enslavement of Africans?
Was it the forced conversions of Christianity?
