You know, and I went up and I knocked at my family, my family's door.
And my dad answered.
Um...
And I suppose he was shocked to see me in a way, and he was a bit apprehensive, you know, because like I just said, I caused them, I put them through torture.
But I asked him for help, Brenda, and I got it.
You know, my family were extremely good to me.
My youngest sister took time off work and we went to an Airbnb for a few days where I tried to dry out a bit, you know?
But I quickly discovered that I needed a bit of help.
It wasn't working out very well.
The more I was sobering up on myself, the more the withdrawals were coming in, ticking fast.
The more my memory was coming back, ticking fast.
And anybody who's been where we were will know that that's a tough pill to swallow, pardon the pun.
That's the part where you'll want to take something to lock it out.
Came back up.
And my mum and dad had an air mattress at the end of their bed.
And it was for me.
Because effectively, I was under house arrest.
They're afraid of their lives, that if I had any bit of freedom, that I'd go.
