You know, Pokemon Go, for instance, has gotten people, you know, out into the world walking around and playing those kinds of geolocation games.

But we want to make sure that we're not just only having our children do one activity and and a stationary one at that.

Yeah, none.

No research.

It's it's way too new.

Although it is happening, I know many labs who have now acquired like Oculus Rifts and they are doing studies now.

If I had to make a guess, I think it would be very similar to what we see uh in video game research.

I mean, again, our minds will be able to differentiate between real and not real, even though it is a more immersive technology.

My concern is getting sick.

Yeah, this is really cool.

Um, this is really a new line of research, so they're only really a small handful of studies.

But what they're finding is that rather than kind of the fast-paced nature of video games exacerbating attention problems, which is usually the concern, the way that video games, like the elements in video games, the fast rewards, the novel experiences, they're actually

very good at honing attention.

And have found to outperform more traditional treatment plans with children with A D D where you try to reduce inattention and disability.

That came out clunky, but I think it made sense.

So more research needs to be done before it's going to be part of any kind of treatment plan, but it is really promising.

Yeah, there is some evidence to suggest that children on the autistic spectrum tend to be more interested in video games than children who are not.

And I think that this is because children on the spectrum tend to have higher levels of social anxiety and maybe struggle with traditional social situations.
