Yeah, so this came up earlier in the trial that when Lindsay Clancy was still in hospital after the suicide attempt, she asked to change her healthcare proxy from Patrick to her parents.
And the state is arguing that that shows consciousness of thought.
That did take place, you know, several days after the killings.
You know, it was several days before Lindsay was actually able to communicate.
She was very unwell and she was actually intubated for a while.
So, you know, there's there's a lot to kind of unpack there and I'm sure that's something that, you know, both sides will likely oppose for those various reasons during
the closing statements.
But it was interesting to hear from Dr.
Mack, because obviously that came just after we heard from Dr.
Resnick.
And we've got two experts here giving two very opposing views.
You know, Doctor Mark saying that she was suffering, she was suffering from major depressive disorder.
She was suicidal, she was very depressed, but that she was not psychotic.
And those are the different things.
And that's where, you know, no one is arguing that she wasn't unwell, mentally unwell, and suffering, but it's whether she was able to still make decisions and understood what she was doing.
But I think there's also an interesting distinction between the experts as well.
So Dr.
Vesnick.
As we say, he's a very well respected
very big expert in this space.
