So when he died...

My mother went back to Brooklyn, where she came from, basically, and got a place, and we stayed there together for several years.

And then when she died, she was 98, and she was in a hospital with tubes and everything on her.

It was horrible to watch.

Oh, well.

Yeah, it's all hitting me back now.

And when she passed, I wound up on a movie set, not knowing it.

So I went to New York a lot, and I seen this guy

Well, actually, before that, while I was selling the papers, they were making a movie called The Equalizer, not the one with Denzel, this original TV show on CBS.

Edward Woodward was in it.

Edward Woodward and Robert Lansing were the stars of it.

And they were shooting where I was selling papers around the corner.

And I had a newsstand set up on wheels so you could push it back and forth, take it where you wanted.

And I set that up every day.

And they said, sorry, guy, you got to move your stuff.

We're going to film here.

So one of the teamsters who knew who I was goes, no, no, why don't you do this, guys?

Why don't you film around him while he sells his papers?

He's got a business here, you know, and he's here every day.

So I said, all right, why not?
