He goes, oh, my God.

And I said, well, I want another audition.

And he's like, no, you know, no, I don't think so.

I said, no, I've been practicing.

Give me another audition.

And so he was not very nice and he said, well, you come during lunch tomorrow.

And I know why, you know, the timeframe he gave me was because it was like hardly anybody there at that time.

It's like three o'clock in the afternoon and who was going to be there, right?

So I go and I don't care.

So I go, I wear one of my nicest costumes because I used to get my costumes from Egypt.

And so I wore a really fancy costume.

And I made sure that I felt really good about it.

And I went in there and I did a 30 minute show, believe it or not, because my shows were about 30 minutes.

And when I got done, I turned around and I went to the table and I got a free lunch out of it, at least that.

And he looks at me and he goes, Layla, you learned how to belly dance.

And I got hired that day.

So he, I did not allow him to tell me what I was or wasn't.

It was my job.

And I'm stubborn.

Man, am I stubborn.
