We've seen the 51 goals over the last two seasons.
But one thing he didn't have was a consistent center.
He didn't have a top line center that was able to maybe put him in those spots.
But still, he was getting to the middle of the ice.
Still, he was able to score.
So to me, Jason, when we're talking about players that could be traded this offseason and there would be interest for a team and a contending team to have them on their second or in real depth situation,
Jake DeBrusque is one of those individuals that you're looking at and saying, is he going to be your top line winger?
Probably not.
But is he going to be somebody that can be a real added piece on your second line if you've got a consistent center to play with them?
And more importantly, on the power play, the guy scored 19 goals last year.
So not only does he get to the middle of the ice, he's not the biggest of guys, but he does make space for himself down
Like he is capable of that.
So in terms of positive value in a season where the team finished 32nd in the NHL, Jake DeBrus, because of his contract and because of those numbers that I mentioned, where he gets to the right areas.
And, you know, I think he can be tougher in the corners.
I think he needs to be better at his board battles.
That's an area that he's not consistent enough, but you get the puck to him.
in and around the blue paint, he'll finish.
No, he doesn't play that way.
Yeah.
But one thing is for sure, though, in Boston, he did have more of a transition game and he scored more off the rush in Vancouver in two seasons.
