Some will pray and say, I hope I'm going to be okay.
Take care of me, God.
They'll also go to the doctor.
and try to see what they need to do and they'll understand their options.
But then you have others who go like the extreme.
I'm going to research this like a PhD and I'm going to find out every single person, the specialist.
I'm going to go talk to 10 different physicians.
I'm going to analyze this like crazy.
I am not going to take your word for it.
And I believe in my efforts to gather more information, I will also calm down a little bit because I feel more in control.
I don't think they're in opposition to each other, but there are two ways in which humans respond.
I think both are powerful ways to cope with fear.
Because ultimately, we're trying to make sure that fear doesn't paralyze us.
What I wanted to point out was here is that when I get into the C's, commitment is where I talk about the stories we tell ourselves.
And not all of the characters, but most of these people have a self-narrative.
We all have a self-narrative in our head.
Who am I?
Why am I here?
What am I meant to be doing?
Some of us are more familiar with that self-narrative.
