Yeah, those words are tricky words and they're related, but also different.

So I do think...

you know, for example, expertise and taste related words.

But I do think, as I said before, taste is kind of this personal expert expression of expertise.

And going back to our earlier discussion, it is based on experience.

So I do think that you can teach expertise, but taste is almost a step beyond that expertise where you're bringing your

yeah, personal set of experiences to bear on that set of expertise.

And I do think about this a lot because you can use, you know, AI tools right now to learn a lot of things.

And so in the education system, what is the role of humans, right?

Like when I lecture, like what am I teaching that the AI can't?

And it really just goes back to,

the set of personal experiences I have and how I think about things, right?

And being able to impart those mental models and conceptual frameworks.

But it shouldn't be the same set that you can just read from a textbook, right?

It is kind of my responsibility now to bring more of my personal experience into it because kind of that sea of...

generality already exists out there and so um you know why go to college why go to school like it really is to learn from other humans right and their experiences

Exactly.

Yeah.

It's like another depth of intention.
