When you see him as a judge, then when we come before him and offer him anything for the forgiveness of sins, that is not
good works.
That is an attempt to bribe the judge of the universe.
And you won't even do that in a man's court.
If you openly offer a bribe, you're going to be in big trouble.
And the Bible says the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord.
Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the cross I cling.
And so in Christ,
God came down and satisfied that law.
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us.
And so the gospel is good news for the Hindu.
He doesn't need to lie on beds of nails or sit on a pole for 15 years as a sacrifice to God.
It's good news for the Muslim.
He doesn't need that.
to try and be a good Muslim and pray five times a day and do all these religious works.
The gift of God is eternal life, and you cannot earn a gift.
And that's why the gospel is good news for all the great religions.
Eternal life is a free gift of God.
You just let go and let God.
