So um I will move on from this slide and just give you a very very brief background onto the project.

Um so again, as as we had described in in prior uh council meetings, whether in study session um or or not, um this project um was originally thought of thought of during the fiscal uh year of uh twenty twenty one twenty twenty, twenty twenty one and the city work program item to prioritize engaging with philanthropic organizations to develop the ELI um housing for the IDD population.

And uh moving on to the following uh council work program.

Um this was narrowed down to city owned property within within the Mary Avenue right away.

Um after an RFP was um was set out um in twenty twenty two, um the one respondent was Charity Charities Housing.

So since twenty twenty two the city has been uh working with Charities Housing to develop the site in accordance with the City Ward Program item.

Um in July twenty twenty four, um this site was added to the housing element as site H E site number ten and in and in the general plan was amended um to

move this from a transportation landage designation to a high, very high density, uh specifically with this site to fifty to sixty five dwelling units per acre.

Um charities housing um submitted um this development application um ASA twenty twenty five zero zero six for the hundred percent affordable residential housing project on April third, twenty twenty five.

So a little bit about the

uh project description uh 40 unit 100% affordable special needs housing project with 19 of the use specifically uh restricted towards the um um to the IDD population at least again at least 45 percent in this case 19 um the affordability will range between 30 to 60 percent a d AMI um the project is two separate buildings
