And this dude is living the life.

He's going out to expensive dinners.

He's hitting up the casinos all the time.

He's going on nice cruises.

He's buying himself all kinds of expensive antiques.

But most importantly, Joe is finally able to buy a bunch of cars and start building the car collection he's always wanted.

And pretty quickly, he gets himself eight cars, including three Corvettes and some Hummers and some Porsches.

Meanwhile, he continues to scam his clients through his insurance company.

At one point, he turns the whole thing into sort of a Ponzi scheme.

When his clients ask for their money back, Joe simply pays them using money from other clients.

And so he just keeps all this going.

And eight years go by.

And it's now around 2008.

And by this point, he's stolen around $780,000 from his clients.

But it's around this time that things start to get complicated for him.

Because Joe actually has a wife.

This woman, Tina.

And Tina has no idea that Joe's been scamming people all these years.

She just thinks his insurance business is doing really well.

So it's no surprise when she starts thinking that Joe could maybe use some of this money to buy them a new house.
