he intercepted a carriage that was leaving London.

It was around Charing Cross area that Elizabeth was in with her grandfather.

He kidnapped Elizabeth and tried to make away with her even further.

Unfortunately for Rochester, but very fortunately for Elizabeth, they were captured and she was released and put back into the possession of her family.

And the Earl of Rochester was sent to the Tower of London after this for three weeks.

I think the king was probably annoyed that it had happened, but I don't think it fundamentally damaged their relationship.

It was more for appearance's sake that he was sent to the tower.

But eventually they did marry.

So, you know, his charms obviously won because she did have multiple choices and he wasn't the first choice for the family.

So that was, yeah, that's how he got his brides.

That kind of says a lot about his personality, I think.
