And then I proceeded the same shot as him, pulled the 7-iron into that left trap exactly where he was.
He had a good bunker shot, but you would think it would break to the right, and it didn't.
It just stayed above the hole.
The same thing happened to him.
It stayed above the hole.
Yeah, and I ended up making that little trickle down the hill where he free putted from.
Yeah, I mean, 18, I stuck with my routine.
I took the driver, and I knew by then that I had a two-shot lead.
I just felt like bombing a driver down there.
It's better coming out of the rough with maybe a wedge or a 9-iron than if you hit 5-wood or 3-wood off the tee and coming out of the rough with a 7-iron.
So I hit a good drive, and...
Yeah, from there on, it was just, again, I was a bidding between clubs there, either hard wedge or a chippy nine.
And I went to the chippy nine and it still rolled through the back of the green.
But, you know, when I stood over that, I knew I could three-putt to win.
But, you know, I was like determined, you know what, I want to do two good putts here.
I don't want to finish like I did in the 2001 US Open when I three-putted.
You know, let's just hit a good putt.
You know, I had, I don't know, a 30-footer with probably 15 feet to break and hit a good putt, probably down to four feet below the hole.
And that's, you know, I was like, come on, let's just finish this properly and made a good putt.
And that's where I went like that with my head.
