And they're productive from day one.

So that's a direct benefit for employers.

Absolutely.

So Spain has had a tremendous growth over the last years.

But you try to steal high unemployment rates, especially among the youth.

So pretty high and definitely above OECD average.

And that is driven not only by the education system, but I think in part it's a lack of alignment of some programs to the labor market needs, but also maybe some frictions in the labor market that prevents students to move into significant jobs.

And I think that's why I think vocational education and training, VET,

can offer a really good solution for that, because you basically tackle two problems into one.

So you train students so they don't sort of remain unemployed.

They work, they learn, and at the same time, they earn a wage.

So I think that's why the solution for countries like Spain and others is definitely to strengthen their vocational training, and that comes through more financing, improving quality, improving alignment, and certainly getting employers on the table and co-design the programs.
