And that should be sent within 24 hours after completing the interview.
Email or handwritten note doesn't matter?
A combination of.
I think the thank you should certainly be, within 24 hours, should certainly be JR via email.
And I think, you know, a thank you note, a well-written thank you note, not to exceed one or two paragraphs, should be sent, you know, maybe a week or two later.
But
You know what's interesting?
Because the survey also showed, JR, that managers want a thank you.
It shows that the candidate or employee is interested.
But if you push too much, they may take you out of consideration as well, right?
Now, what may be pushy for someone may not be pushy for the actual individual.
So I think it's important to ask at the end of the interview, if there are no further questions about someone's skill set or what's the next step, I think it's important to ask,
How would you like to be communicated, JR?
I am very interested in this opportunity, and how would you like me to communicate with you on a go-forward basis?
Okay, and this is independent from your thank you note.
I think that is an important question that everyone should ask.
