The most nervous I've ever been was when I was on ESPN.
doing sports center from uh pac bell park for the 2002 world series doing sports center we had a set and left center field it was after one of the games the giants and angels and they told me um that we were live at um 10 o'clock at night or 11 o'clock at night that's what it was and that if um
if I didn't get the highlight right, that they didn't have the ability to immediately rerecord it for the next episode of SportsCenter, because those used to re-air over and over and over again.
Like today, ESPN would never air a seven-hour-old show in the morning, but back in the day, that's what we did.
So they told me that I needed to get it right, and if I didn't, then the entire crew would have to stay another hour until it was live again.
And I just looked at everybody behind the camera.
I've been there since probably like seven in the morning.
Everybody wanted to go home and I wanted to go home.
I know I did.
Like that put, that put pressure.
