At school, I was confident.

I wasn't particularly well behaved.

I didn't work hard enough at it.

And this funny thing, in my house, we didn't read enough.

And I remember kind of at school, like my daughter's currently reads a bit slowly.

She's getting better at it.

And I remember thinking I was quite slow at reading.

And then in my 20s, I was working on The Big Breakfast with people like Johnny Vaughan.

And all the people I worked with there, they were so clever.

Johnny just seems to know every single fact in the whole world.

Ed Forsdick, the late exec producer, had been to Oxford and I was surrounded by people with so much knowledge and I just started reading and reading and reading and I suddenly started reading quicker.

Whereas I think I would have assumed, knowing what I know now, that I was dyslexic at school.
