So, that's it for the two statements.
It's all evidence that would be important to include in an overall case.
But from what I can tell, it's nothing earth shattering.
The magistrate at the bail hearing, Margaret Quinn, seemed to agree.
She said it was, quote, not the strongest case she had seen.
She let Toby out on bail.
He was allowed to go home to Perth while he awaited trial.
Sam had been told not to get her hopes up, but the magistrate made the rare decision to release a murder suspect.
But the relief didn't last long.
They now had to get ready for a murder trial.

Still, they didn't know why police swooped to charge Toby in 2022, after all those years of not having enough evidence.
Around four months after Toby's arrest, he and Sam say they got their hands on the full DNA results.
The results they originally thought were the reason police charged Toby.
They'd been waiting to find out what was in them.
Sam was stunned.
There was no DNA linking Toby to any of the exhibits.
At the bail hearing, police suggested DNA had neither inculpated or exculpated Toby.
Sam assumed the DNA test had been inconclusive.
But now she was finding out that Toby's DNA had definitively not been found on any of the exhibits.
