I'm not looking at it that way.
I've never really looked at him from an emotional perspective.
I don't get emotional when I think about Donald Trump like many people do.
But I would say he was a guy who positioned himself as the ultimate outsider.
And in fact, he was accepted as the outside.
He, like the Republican Party back in 2015, saw him as a threat and as an outsider, and they tried to take him down.
The Democratic Party saw him as a threat as well, and they tried to take him down.
So whether he was or wasn't an outsider, he certainly talked like one and he was perceived like one.
But what's happened?
I would argue that the system has basically swallowed him up.
Who's going to drain the swamp?
Maybe he believed some of the things he said.
I think he probably did and does.
But belief and ability, two different things.
And that system has swallowed him up.
And if it can swallow him up, who's it not going to swallow up?
You know, a cantankerous, arrogant, narcissistic billionaire.
If it takes him, it's going to probably take everyone.
