I've been saying probably the same thing that you might have been saying, which is that if the US government really wanted to do disclosure, that would physically not be hard.
You could have a general with an iPhone going into a hangar and just recording, this is the craft we got in 1953.

That could have been done in theory, and that's not been done.
And what do we get instead?
We get these document releases, some of which are totally boring, it's true, and others which seem boring but are interesting historically and so forth.
So this is not disclosure.
What we are seeing, I believe, is the result of a kind of tug of war going on behind the scenes.
This has been a battle that has been going on for a good decade.
Even more, really, where you have a genuine, I keep calling them an insurgency.
I can't think of a better phrase.
There are people who are insiders.
They are establishment intel military people.
They're insiders, but they believe in some level of transparency and disclosure.
This is not a new thing.
You could go back to the 1950s, read some of the old books by like the American author Donald Kehoe.
He was a retired Marine Corps major who had a lot of friends in the military and in the Pentagon in the 50s and 60s.
And they would say the same thing to him.
