Last time we were on this broadcast, I was in Tehran.
We were talking about the funeral of the late Ayatollah Khamenei.
And as a Yemeni delegation was leaving from that funeral,
funeral, as Yemeni aircraft were heading back to Sana'a, which is the capital of Yemen, the Houthis say the Saudis bombed Sana'a airport and forced the aircraft to divert to another location.
And when that happened, the Houthis were enraged.
They issued many statements saying that the gloves are now off and they were targeting their ire and their anger and
directly at Saudi Arabia saying, if you can't go on one side in the Strait of Hormuz, we're not going to let you go on the other side either on the Red Sea.
So it's not clear at this stage that the Houthis want to close all of the Red Sea because there are a lot of ships in the Red Sea.
Lots of vessels pass through the Suez Canal, but it was specifically Saudi ships and only Saudi ships that were attacked
So it could have also been payback for this one incident that really enraged the Houthis, especially considering the background that the two have fought a war in Yemen before.

There are reports in the Israeli media that suggest that, that this was Netanyahu who got in Trump's ear and said, don't do this.

I think the chances are pretty much zero that Saudi Arabia would sign the Abraham Accords now with this government, with Netanyahu in power after the devastation in Gaza, ongoing violence in the West Bank.
No, there's almost no chance that they would do that because the Saudis have said time and time again that they would only consider signing the Abraham Accord if there was a legitimate path to statehood for the Palestinians, a two-state solution.
Prime Minister Netanyahu has said in the clearest of possible terms that there will be no two-state solution.
The Palestinians will not have a state, and he's doing everything he can to prevent that from happening by spreading...
settlements, expanding Israel's presence in Gaza, shrinking the amount of space that Palestinians have to live in that area.
