His name was Jan Opletal, and he was murdered by the Nazis for his opposition to the Nazi occupation.
And now the students, after they'd heard this story about Martin Schmidt, the next day after the attack on them, after their march on Rodney Street, they thought, this is a parallel martyr.
Jan Opleton in the 1930s is martyred.
