There's benefits to fostering political extremism in some of the wealthiest, most powerful countries on earth and watching them slowly deteriorate and degenerate into states of civil war.

There's a point to that, for sure.

I do think some of it is emergent.

Some of it is just, you know, consumer capitalism.

If, if what I want, so I'm a consumer capitalist, I want a nation of people who are buying stuff, not that they need, which would have been in a free market capitalism, but consumer capitalism.

I want them buying shit that they don't need consumerism.
