And they did all those things mid-season, and they had a better record going down the stretch.
Now, that's a possibility for the Blue Jays because it's a low bar that they've set.
But if you look at that, better record down the stretch, see who they got on the farm, especially on the pitching side, and rebuild during the offseason and spend as much money as they spent this year and spend it judiciously.
And don't worry about the sentimentality of bringing back guys who were a part of the trip to the World Series.
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure the Jays were happy with the way that his bat has sort of come alive, and they moved him out of the leadoff spot.
He was never going to be a leadoff hitter for anybody.
I'm surprised they haven't played him a few games in the outfield just to showcase that he can still play out there and maybe have a team that needs, like the Yankees aren't going to need a DH for the rest of the year.
They got guys.
But if he could play the outfield and fill in until their injured players come back, I think his value would be there.

The fact that he's hitting better in July bodes well for him being moved, but not the package of prospects they get back in.
