no one will listen to him.
Because surely, you know, if a massive discovery like this was going to take place, it'd be at Harvard or Oxford.
So what Marshall does is the most dramatic demonstration he can to prove his theory.
He drinks loads of this bacteria, then gets an ulcer almost immediately, and then he cures himself by taking antibiotics.
And it took that kind of

Yeah, so this is from the University of Chicago, and it's run by two psychologists, Zhang and Fischbach.
And what they do is they recruit a group of people, and they give one group a bit of text which explains tomatoes are brilliant for reducing the probability of cancer.
And then that group are asked to say, how good do you think tomatoes are as part of your diet for reducing cancer?
They get their answer and then they get a new group of people.
They show them exactly the same text about cancer as the first group.
But alongside that, they also give that second group a bit of information about why tomatoes are really good for your eye health.
Now, when that second group are asked to rate how good tomatoes are for preventing cancer, they score tomatoes at 12% less than the original group.
So exactly the same information, the same facts, the same logic is rated worse if there's that second idea added on.
