Before I let you go, Brian, this week you were one of the signatories on a letter for Irish Sport for Palestine calling for the boycott of these Nations League games going up in September, October for the Republic of Ireland against Israel.
Why did you feel it was important to lend your signature at least and, of course, your voice towards that goal?
everyone's involved in what's going on because people don't if they don't speak up against it and the sports people don't speak up against it well then they are part of it in my view and that's the counter argument for i guess for those who say you know keep politics out of sport but it's like well other teams and other countries are using their political ends through sports to cleanse themselves why shouldn't we use political ends to stand up for something
Can the FAO be doing more than to make a case to UEFA or to FIFA?
Well, they always famously got on quite well with UEFA.

You're very welcome along to the final whistle after Tottenham's latest defeat in the Premier League that sees them inside the relegation bottom three with six games to go.
They fall into a 1-0 loss to Sunderland, which we brought you on Off the Ball.
It was Norti Mukiele's speculative effort from the edge of the penalty area that was flicked goalwards by the heels of Mickey van de Ven and it ended up in a 1-0 win for Sunderland at the stadium, like Brian Kerr was alongside me with it.
I can tell, like, as the Tottenham fan within you, there was an air of exasperation coming from you towards the end of that game because at no point did Spurs realistically look like they were going to turn it around in their favour.
Oddly enough, it could have been a different game because you think back to that midway through the first half, there was the penalty initially awarded against Sunderland, four spurs for what we thought was a foul penalty
Be it from Luke O'Neill or be it from Omer Alderete.
But either way, it was Colm O'Neill, I think it was, wasn't it, that went to ground looking for a penalty.
Looked as if there was contact.
Rob Jones initially gave it, but was then summoned to have another look and overturned it.
