Audiences will forgive a multitude of visual sins if they can hear you, but the vice versa is not the case.
That's been my experience.
So that's the first thing is to be heard.
And you're right.
Nobody's going to walk out of the room in the first 45 seconds
but they might very well decide to ditch you in the first 30 seconds of a virtual presentation.
The first impressions are formed very early on, or it's sometimes the absence of that.
It's, well, I don't know, this guy might be good, I can't really tell, I'm leaving.
That happens.
So, you know, can you connect with your audience's pain points early enough that they say, all right, well, I'll give this guy another sentence or two.
And in many cases, that's considered a success.
