um so on on the way to the game then with your tickets how how were you both feeling just it was that buzz expectation um of course every football fan has optimism whatever game they're watching their nation or wherever it's their club but there was a real buzz and expectation about the place again it's just a continuation of what we'd experienced weeks before but just walking up through red square seeing fans from all over the world you know that was that's that's the beauty of the world cup it does genuinely bring the world together

and it just seeing people and little things like going on the amazing underground in in Moscow obviously that's like you know an incredible yeah and the panel the wood panels the amazing chandeliers and a Russian person is passing around vodka uh and it just felt a bit like a dream um which carried on until the first two minutes and then and then it exploded

you know Kieran Trippier's free kick was I get goosebumps talking about it now and I will do it's just one of the best moments I've ever seen live yeah and also I'm sure you had this at that point you just thought well we're it's done we're good we're good we're getting to a World Cup final

I really, I massively did.

All of this is true.

Yeah, my journey to the game was similar to yours, just because I couldn't quite believe I was at a World Cup.

And I actually realized, oh, this is why they call it a World Cup, because at the airport, at the fan park, everywhere in the city, I was seeing people from all over the world, like whose teams had already been knocked out, whose teams weren't even at the World Cup, but they just wanted to be at a World Cup.

And I realized I was like, this is why this is the biggest stage in football and the biggest stage in sport.

And yeah, like you said, getting into that stadium.

And I was on the opposite end behind the goal.

So, but right in center.

So I was behind a Trippier.

And when he sent that, that is the one, I've seen some pretty special goals live in stadiums in my life, right?

I was there for Kylian Mbappe's hat trick at the 2022 World Cup final.

I've seen Declan Rice against Madrid.

I've seen some moments, right?
