But there was other blue line softies, especially just another floater, this one from Radko Gudis, and the game ended up in a 6-5 loss.

And at that point, it was clear to everybody, except maybe one person in the organization, that Montembeau had become unplayable.

Yeah, it was his fifth loss in his last seven starts.

And management had to step in.

And let's remind you that it was Montembeau's play in November and then in early December where he lost six of seven starts.

Yeah.

He was unplayable.

You couldn't put him in the net.

And it was at that time in December that management stepped in

Montemot was sent to Laval for a conditioning stint, and that led to the first ever recall of Jacob Fowler.
