I mean, how do we get over that?
So just say you're you're saying to a farmer, Okay, Johnny, I can give you X amount of money per acre per year for the next five years if you follow these guidelines on on the on the waiters on your farm.
But Johnny's gonna go, right, well, the girls now are getting of age, they're gonna be going to college now in the next so what do I do after five years?
And then the woodland scheme comes along and says, Well, actually, we're gonna give you a dividend on this for fifteen years.
Yeah.

take the Woodland one and I'm not saying I'm not versing I'm not pitting waders against Broadly, but that is the way so
Is the way forward that we have a conversation nationally where we want waders, where we want forests, where we want wetlands.
And like right now, and then then again there's another thing.
Then we're competing with renewable energy for space, uh all sorts of stuff.
So like
Everyone wants the same bad owl ground.
We need to have a national conversation on where we where we want to be as Irish people and what we want our own landscape to look like.
And maybe we don't want waders, and maybe we don't want solar energy and maybe we don't want scrub everywhere or or or or or w oak woodland.
I don't know, but it's all we're all competing for that same piece of land.
And depending on the project and the function.
Funding available and what's trendy, let's face it, it goes in and and then in twenty years' time we look back and go, geez, why do we do that, lads?
And we ask people to do something else.
