I've spoken at length with Edna on the phone, but not to Kitten Dwyer.

I've established that Jack and his mate Chris went to their house on the day he disappeared, and they likely bought and took drugs while they were there.

But when I went to the house to find out more,

I got turned away and left empty handed.

When Faith and Kelly went there though, things turned out very differently.

Someone recorded the interaction.

And now

I've been sent the recording.

The recording can be a bit tricky to follow, so I'll talk you through what you're hearing.

Kelly and Faith walk up the path to the front door.

After it sounds like they've been greeted by some dogs, an older woman comes out to meet them.

Someone's hand is covering the lens, so you can't see anything.

But amidst everything in this rough recording, I can hear the voice of kids' mum Edna as she emerges from the house.

Kelly tells her why she and Faith are there.

Edna heads back into the house but then, about a minute later, Kid and Twila walk over to Kelly and Faith.

Kelly doesn't waste any time and jumps straight into asking.

Then, for the first time, I hear Kid's voice.

For a while, everyone kinda talks over the top of each other, and it's frustrating I can't just jump into the conversation myself.

But after a while I can hear Kid confirm what I'd heard elsewhere, that Jack and his workmate Chris Duke definitely came to the house.

Then I hear him say something new.
