Kid was Twiler's boyfriend at the time, a man in his early forties.
From the ABC office back on the Sunshine Coast, I start doing some digging.
What I find is a long list of criminal convictions dating back more than 20 years.
They're for things like theft, trespassing, breaches of bail, drug possession, and drug supply.
I call him a few times but he doesn't answer.
And then soon after he's completely out of reach because he's sent to jail on remand for unrelated charges.
When I contact the people around Kid, no one wants to go on the record.
Some are seriously concerned about the risk of speaking out against him.
Eventually I learned that the Wandai House, the place where Jack and Chris apparently went to score drugs, it's also kids' mum's place.
Her name's Edna.
As far as I know, she's had nothing to do with any of this.
But she does live there.
So maybe she can help me figure out what happened there.
I find a number for Edna and I give her a call.
