I've seen it before where it feels like the interview panel goes in with the intention to cause stress and cause as much stress as possible to just see what the person or the applicant is like in that space.

Is that the right approach to take?

How would you go about, Dom, I'm curious, we'll put the state lens on in this sort of situation where there's usually three-ish people on a panel.

How do you deal with the split decision on who it goes with?

Because there's a very real possibility that in various cases, two people will want someone, one another will want someone else.

How do you deal with that?

Yeah, that was a really fascinating case study.

I'm going back now and I'm going to butcher how I've remembered this, but it was along the lines of I think they were interviewing for like a symphony and it was behind a screen so you couldn't see who was walking on stage and they went a step further.

It's like everyone must wear flats so you can't hear if someone's coming in in heels.

Then it went a step further again.

It's like, please no aftershave perfume or anything like that.

So you couldn't distinguish anything.

So it was literally on merits of how does it sound.

And that was the easiest way they could get – easiest way.

There's some steps in that, obviously.

But that was the easiest way for them to say, we're removing all level of bias.

So you don't know who it is that's playing the violin behind that screen, but which one was better out of the three?

The third one?
