It's a well known idiom that states that it's quote, easy to dodge the spear in the open, hard to avoid a stab in the dark. voice-verified

And it it reminds me a bit of another Chinese saying, uh, better to be a dog in times of tranquility than a human in times of chaos. voice-verified

And this has some of the same sentiments as a fourteenth century Islamic saying that is sometimes uh misattributed as being a Chi of Chinese origin itself, and that is better a century of tyranny than one day of chaos. voice-verified

Uh and I'm not talking about like capital C chaos, like absolute chaos, but these little moments of chaos and disorder, you can easily line yourself up with the idea of like, well, yeah, this is why people uh you know fall for tyranny. voice-verified

Uh ambiguity is a lack of clarity, while chaos is a state of disorder. voice-verified

And the former may well lead into the other, and chaos may be seen as a state of absolute ambiguity and uncertainty as well. voice-verified

So in that respect it becomes even even more difficult when we try and weigh chaos and ambiguity uh in our concerns about the future. voice-verified
